Business Development Corporation

When we were looking at expanding our operations to Texas we had originally been looking east of Wichita Falls, so Vernon was not a town that we had considered.  Wilbarger County Judge Greg Tyra and Rick Hardcastle with the Business Development Corporation (BDC) of Vernon called us and asked us to consider Vernon as an option, so we did.  Once the BDC opened our eyes to what was possible in Vernon, they worked with us to support our business plan and to help us secure an excellent facilities for our Texas operations.  Every step of the way it was made clear to us that Vernon wanted Pearson Livestock Equipment here and that Vernon is a great place to build our business and raise our family.

In 2017, when we expanded our Texas operations to include Powder Coating, and again in 2020 when we installed our CNC lathe and bridge cranes, the BDC was there to support us.  Because of those BDC supported projects and the hard work of our employees, we were able to do a third capital expansion in 2021 without BDC support.  This 2021 project was done in the midst of the challenges brought about by COVID-19, which included consolidating all of our operations in Vernon.  Now in 2022 we are entering our 6th year of operations in Vernon and are proud to call Vernon, Texas home.
